Something, I already had in my queue for a long time, is printing photos from my digital camera. Since I do not own either a color printer or a special photo printer, I decided to give Fujifilm's commercial photo-printing service a try.

So I headed over to www.fujicolor.mediamarkt.de, filled out the form for an account, logged in and looked for the easiest way to upload ca. 30 JPEG files. But obviously the folks who planned the service did not think about usability for just one second: There is no way to upload a archive file like ZIP or TAR, which contains all the files, one wants them to print. Instead their customers have to select each photo independently and can then upload them in bunches of 10 files each time.

What is so hard about supporting the upload of archive files? This would save customers with at least a bit of experience in using Winzip a hell lot of time and it definitively isn't a hard thing to implement that. At least uploading my 35 photos prevented me from doing some more useful work in the meantime, whilst creating a ZIP file and uploading it would have taken less than two minutes.
