According to german
news services, the american government hasn't congratulated Gerhard Schroeder yet for winning the election on Sunday, because Schroeder hasn't supported George W. Bush's plan to attack Iraq in the past weeks and because one of Schroeder's former ministers has compared Bush with Hitler. I think that Bush and his followers are behaving somewhat childish in that situation: Concerning the recent comment by the former Justice Minister Hertha Daeubler-Gmelin, I can understand that they are upset - I would actually feel the same. But if
they want to attack Iraq,
they shall do it; in my opinion it's absolutely wrong to expect other countries to do the same.
If the german government has it's reasons for not joining the war, nobody should force to join it. Hell, is this so hard to understand?
