Pretty nice experience: I went to a friend's birthday party yesterday and his brother approached me asking: You are the one who is making PEAR, no? (This is probably not the original wording, but you get the point.)

Actually this was the first time that someone talked to me about this at a non-technical place (work, university). I didn't even know that my involvement in PEAR is that popular :-).

Update: Looks like Jeremy Zawodny had a similar "problem": As the caravan passed, someone at the end asked "are you the MySQL Jeremy?"
