We had originally planned to see Ocean's Twelve, but since only a few seats in the first rows were left, we short opted for National Treasure.
The movie starts with a bit of treasure hunting in Antarctica, but soon turns into a well-done gangster movie, followed by a bit of cat-and-mouse game with the FBI. To the end it becomes some sort of an adaption of the Indiana Jones genre, but Nicols Cage fails to be as cool as Harrison Ford. (Probably because he does not come with a whip and a hat?)
Among the rest of the actors the beautiful Diane Kruger and the old-school gentlemen Harvey Keitel and Jon Voigth are the most notably ones. (I didn't find Sean Bean to be that great, but that's most likely because I also didn't like him too much in Goldeneye.)
Well, what shall I say? All things considered one can really enjoy National Treasure if some obvious logical mistakes are no problem. Other than that, I had a relaxing evening in cinema, which is all that counts.
Ohh, and did I already mention that Diane Kruger's German voice is drop-dead gorgeous?
